About PSPK

The Center for Education and Policy Studies (PSPK) is an independent organization dedicated to research, advocacy, and education policy development in Indonesia. Founded in 2015, PSPK's mission is to advance a quality, equitable, and child-first education system that addresses systemic challenges and aligns with national priorities.

Key focus areas include equitable access, quality learning, teacher distribution, vocational education, and diverse pathways, such as pesantren. PSPK drives improvements through initiatives like policy research, public forums (BERANDA), and comprehensive education roadmaps.

PSPK leads three flagship programs:

  • PEMANTIK: A web-based platform that assesses literacy and numeracy skills for children aged 6-12, enabling targeted learning interventions.
  • Lingkar Daerah Belajar (LDB): Empowering local communities in over 10 regions to co-create solutions for education challenges.
  • Lingkar Studi Kebijakan Pendidikan (LSKP): Strengthening the education policy research ecosystem by combining data-driven research with advocacy.

Through collaboration with policymakers, educators, and other respective partners, PSPK works to ensure Indonesia’s education system puts children first.
