Ms. Abraham is a Grade 3 teacher at Chulu Primary School. She teaches two groups of students each day, totaling 268 students. She says, “Malawi is lacking in teachers. I became a teacher to increase those numbers. At first it was a challenge but now I’m enjoying the profession. The biggest challenge is the number of students in each class. It is fairly difficult to teach and manage 268 learners. One teacher to 60 learners would help.”
