Discussion on Designing Teacher Capacity Strengthening @Scale for Equity in Education at the 9th ADB Skills Forum

During the 9th ADB Skills Forum held from August 23-27, 2021, Professor Freda Wolfenden of the Open University and Ms. Juliana of the Putera Sampoerna Foundation Schools Development Outreach, joined the panel discussion on Reimagining Teacher Professional Development for Scalable, Sustainable, and Equitable Outcomes using EdTech Research Evidence.

In her presentation. Prof. Wolfenden talked about two case studies: the TESS India and GPE KIX Uzbekistan, where she highlighted the key insights to be: to design for scale, localize for inclusion, match technology choice with professional learning needs, and act, evaluate, and improve. Ms. Juliana shared PSF-SDO’s experience and learnings from implementing the Teacher Learning Centres in Indonesia.
