The Foundation for Information Technology Education and Development (FIT-ED), established in 1997 and based in Quezon City, Philippines, is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering an equitable and inclusive world through learning and innovation. Guided by its mission to empower communities in the Philippines and developing countries worldwide, FIT-ED places innovation at the core of its efforts.
For FIT-ED, innovation involves discovering new ways of doing things—using new technologies to achieve what traditional methods cannot and, equally important, developing new understandings of established practices and systems to make them work better for the greater good, with or without new technologies. FIT-ED's commitment to innovation is driven by its goal of achieving quality and equity in learning, realized through its three core programming pillars: Education Transformation, Education for All, and Research and Policy Advocacy.
FIT-ED is the founding proponent of the Coalition and has served as its Secretariat since inception in 2018.
